Smart durations automatically adjust the time spent on loading and delivery based on your settings.
How does it work?
Each time you receive a new mission, Woop calculates, based on your settings, the time required for its loading and/or delivery.
If no smart duration settings are provided, then the durations will be considered as 00h00m.
Smart durations rely on 2 parameters of the mission:
- Volumes (quantities)
- Services associated with the mission
Loading durations will apply at the departure depot. Unless pick up and delivery is enabled, in which case the loading duration will apply at the associated picking points (goods collection).
Delivery durations will apply to each delivery mission on your routes (usually at the recipient's location).
Setting up smart durations
Where to set up smart durations?
Smart durations are set up from the sector page.
How to set them up?
By default: applies to all missions.
- Represents the time needed for the action, regardless of the mission's content. E.g.: time to park the vehicle, ring the client's doorbell, etc...
- If several successive missions are at the same address, then the "default" times are only kept once.
Volumes: varies according to the content of each mission (pallets / parcels / weight)
- First: applies to the first parcel or the first pallet. This particularly impacts the setup time.
- Subsequent: applies to all following parcels or pallets.
If the "weight" option is set, it will apply per kg of the mission's load.
If durations are configured for both parcels and pallets, and a delivery contains both, then the times will be added together.
Services: adds to the total time if the configured service is present in the mission
- The available services depend on the services activated on the carrier.
- Each service can have different durations.
Example calculations
Here are the rules you have set for your sector:
You perform a single Delivery to an address, containing:
- 2 Pallets
- 3 Parcels
- The Assembly service is requested.
- Default Time: 1 x 3 min = 3 minutes
- Pallets: 10 min (for the first) + 4 min (for the second) = 14 minutes
- Parcels: 5 min (for the first) + 1 min (for the second) + 1 min (for the third) = 7 minutes
= Total volumes: 14 + 7 = 21 minutes
- Furniture Assembly: 15 minutes
Total delivery time = 3 min (Default) + 21 min (Volumes) + 15 min (Services) = 39 minutes
Special cases of delivery splitting
If delivery splitting is enabled, then the durations are calculated per split batch.
- If multiple parts of an order are positioned one after the other, then the default time will only apply once (see the rule for successive missions at the same address)
- The "for the first" times of the volumes will apply for each split batch. This can therefore lead to an increase in total times.
