How to create a new destination

To create a destination manually, open the ‘Destinations’ menu and click on ‘New’.

The ‘New destination’ page will appear.

This page is made up of several sections. The first is the fixed part of the location (name, reference, address, etc.), the second section is the variable part, which is the action to be carried out there (Delivery, duration, quantity, time slots, etc.).

‘Destination’ section

1. Name (required):
   name of the destination.
2. Street, Additional info, Postcode, City, Country (Required or Lat/long):
   enter the address of the destination. Geocoding is done automatically. The address is positioned on the map. The additional info field is for details such as "housing estate", "house at the end of the cul-de-sac", "business park", etc.
   Note
   When creating a destination in Mapo, the app suggests the closest addresses to those entered by the user.
   
3. Geocoding quality, Latitude, Longitude (required or address):
   If the geocoding is incorrect, the point can be moved directly on the map to the desired location.
4. Phone number (optional):
   Phone number for direct contact with the destination.
5. Comment (optional):
   Any information needed for work on site, such as a door code, specific details about the location, etc.

‘Visit’ section

You will need to fill in the following fields:

1. Reference (optional):
   unique identifier from a business software.
2. Quantities (optional):
   enter the quantity to be delivered (make sure it matches the vehicle capacity).
3. Empty vehicle (optional):
   indicate if this destination is an unloading point, i.e. if the load should be completely removed from the vehicle at this point. Fill vehicle (optional): indicate if this destination is a loading point, i.e. if the load should be completely loaded into the vehicle at this point.
4. Indication of the quantified deliverable unit
5. The link “Add barcodes for this quantity”
   expands when clicked. It allows you to record one or more barcodes for a quantified deliverable unit.
   Note:
   Barcodes are scanned and recorded in the Mapo Driver mobile app.
6. Visit duration (optional):
   enter the time spent on the visit. This can be added to the time spent at the destination.
   
   Note:
   The visit duration is set in the global settings. If the Visit duration field is left empty, the visit duration used will be the one from the global settings.
   
   
7. Time slots (optional):
   set the start and end time slots for the visit (these slots are used in optimisation calculations). Two time slots per visit can be set.
8. Priority (optional):
   assign a priority level to a visit from -4 (least important) to 4 (most important). This allows you to exclude the least urgent visits from your routes and only include secondary visits in an optimisation if time allows.
9. Labels (optional):
   enter one or more previously created labels (see section Create a label). A label can be used to link to a vehicle Skill (see vehicle configuration configuration).

Confirm the information entered by clicking the ‘Create Destination’ button .
