🎯 Purpose of this page
The route management page is a dedicated tool for tracking and optimising the management of all your routes.
This interface gives you real-time visibility of the status of your routes, as well as your missions to be scheduled, making it easier to plan your day.
It enables you to act proactively in response to events (delays, planning errors, unmet constraints, etc.), to pinpoint bottlenecks, and to help improve the overall efficiency of your delivery process.
🖥️ Accessing the interface
The page is available from the menu by clicking on the "routes" tab (currently only accessible internally). It allows you to:
📌 Display your routes to do or in progress for the selected day
📌 View routes across your different sectors
📌 Filter by vehicles, status, or orders, missions
📌 Display your missions to be scheduled for the selected day
This page is divided into 2 areas:
- The left side with the route detail
- The right side with the map
It can also be divided into 3 areas:
- The left side with the route detail
- The centre with missions to be scheduled
- The right side with the map
🧩 Available features
This section gives a detailed overview of the different features available on this page. Each one has been designed to help you efficiently track your routes. Take the time to read through the descriptions to understand how each feature can be useful to you.
🗂️ The list of routes
-
List the day's routes for a particular sector:
The list of routes shows you which vehicles are being used, as well as the rounds that need to be completed by that vehicle on that day. For each round, the planned start time, the number of missions to be completed, and the number of anomalies reported by the agent (if any) are shown.
A progress bar shows the percentage completion of the route. This is based on the statuses updated by the agent via their Mapo Driver app.
- Filter by date: You can filter the display of routes by exact date.
Important: By default, today's date is selected.
To change the date, click on the date field you want to edit. This will open a calendar where you can choose a specific date.
- Filter today's routes: You can filter the display of routes by vehicle, status, order number, or by routes with anomalies
-
Change sector: To change sector, click on the "Your sector" selector and choose a sector from the dropdown list. The associated routes will be displayed automatically.
You can also search by typing directly into the "Your sector" field; the dropdown list will update according to the results.
-
Optimise routes: You can manually start optimisation by clicking "optimise" or set up automatic optimisation (see article "set up a sector").
If your routes are already created but you want to re-optimise, you can do so using the same "optimise" button.
You can also optimise and send the routes at the same time to the mobile app
- Viewing routes on the map
Routes are shown on the map using a colour code that matches between the route list and the map. The different stops on the route are shown on the map with numbers in the route's colour.
- View the details of a route
When you click on a route, this opens the details as well as the main actions to be taken on an order.
The map is also updated, showing only the selected route with its various stops.
There are also 2 types of lines:
- dotted: route to be completed by the driver
- solid: route already completed
The completed route: shows in real time the actual itinerary taken by the vehicle during its route. This can be activated via the settings icon (cog) on the map.
Note: For this feature to work, the driver must have allowed data sharing and enabled geolocation on the Mapo Driver mobile app.
- Route statistics
The route statistics are as follows:
- Number of kilometres travelled
- Number of customers delivered
- Total duration of the route
- Cost of the route (based on vehicle and agent costs)
- Fill rate (maximum fill of the vehicle reached during the route)
- The list of stops
The list of stops follows the order of the route as set by optimisation, showing the customer's name, the time slot (delivery slot chosen by the customer), and the planned time.
Once the statuses have been updated by the agent on their mobile app, the actual time (time the status was updated) and the delivery status are shown.
- Vehicle and agent detail
From the route detail, you can access the detail of the vehicle and agent in charge of this route by clicking the dedicated button.
- Locking a route
You can lock a route so that it cannot be changed by optimisation. A locked route cannot be altered and will not lose its statuses.
🗂️ Table of missions to be scheduled
There are two ways to open the missions to be scheduled:
Click the button in the left menu
Click the "Display missions to be scheduled" button in the "route listing" block (the button is only visible if there are no routes for the selected date)
An interactive table lists the day's missions to be scheduled:
-
Table columns: Order, Order number, Status, Name, Time slot, Address.
Some of these columns can be filtered (Ascending, Descending) by clicking on the column: -
Scheduling status:
🟪 Purple: To be scheduled, Slot changed, Unschedule
🟧 Orange: Scheduling failed
🟥 Red: Not schedulable
- Mission detail to be scheduled: To view the detail of a mission, click on the order number in the missions to be scheduled table. The detail opens in a side panel.
- Edit address and time slot from the side panel. The “Edit” buttons are only visible if the “Edit route” permission is enabled on the user account.
- Search for a mission to be scheduled: The search field lets you find a mission by order number, status, customer name or first name, time slot, or delivery address.
- Batch scheduling: You can now select multiple missions and schedule them in one go. Simply select the missions you want to schedule. If you already have routes planned for the day, an "Add to route" button will appear; otherwise, you'll see a "Schedule" button.
When you click the "Schedule" or "Add to route" button, you can choose a vehicle, a route number or a new route, and the position within the route.
Once confirmed, the missions are added to the selected vehicle's route, even if some constraints are not met.
- Unassign all: This lets you completely clear all routes for the day. By clicking the "Unassign all" button, all missions will move to the "Missions to schedule" section with the status "Unassigned".
-
Customising columns: You can tailor the "Missions to schedule" table to your needs using the column customisation button (located to the right of the date selector).
Managing columns:
Fixed columns: The "Order" and "Order number" columns are mandatory for tracking and cannot be hidden.
Default display: When you open the table, it shows the "Status", "Name" and "Time slot" columns.
Customisation options: You can activate or deactivate other information depending on your business priorities: Address, Services, Exchange Place, Collection address, Priority, Options, Skills, Delivery duration, Number of parcels or Total weight.
Saving your preferences: Your display choices are automatically saved for your session. Your personalised setup will be there the next time you log in, so you won't need to set it up again.
- Multi-date scheduling:
By default, the "Missions to schedule" section automatically matches the date selected in your "Route" block.
Global change: If you change the date of the "Route", the list of missions to schedule is instantly updated to match that day.
Flexible scheduling (Multi-date): You can also manually change the date in the "Missions to schedule" block. This lets you pick up missions originally planned for another date and add them to your current day's routes.
Example: "I'm looking at my routes for 22/01, but I want to display the missions to schedule from 23/01 so I can bring them forward."
